Great Central Railway - GCR workshops and shed yard at Loughborough: Lots of locomotives packed into the shed-works, LMS 2-8-0 8624 next to GNR tank engine 1744.

Great Central Railway - GCR workshops and shed yard at Loughborough: Two ex LMS/BR locos are under reconstruction-rebuilding-restoration in the works near Loughborough Central station. Stanier 'Black Five' 4-6-0 Class 5MT locomotive 45305 (above) and Class 4MT 2-6-4T tank engine 42085 (below) in the Loughborough workshops. 45305 is ex LMS 5305 and built by Armstrong Whitworth and Company in Newcastle in 1937 (see pictures of 45305 back in working order). BR standard class 42085 was built in Brighton in 1951.
