Class 375 Electrostar Electric Multiple Units

Class 375 EMUs Adtranz/Bombardier Derby

Class 375 EMU units were built between 1999 and 2004 by Adtranz or Bombardier at Derby Works. Class 375 units are designed for express and outer suburban services. Class 375 are constructed from a welded aluminium alloy underframe, sides and roof with steel ends, with all sections bolted together. Some Class 375 units are dual-voltage units i.e. 25 kV AC overhead supply or third rail 750 V DC, but other Class 375 EMUs are just 3rd rail 750 V DC. Class 376 car-sets have a maximum speed of 100 mph.
