Final thought

From 1901 to today, London has reinvented itself more dramatically than at any time since the medieval period.
It has survived war, deindustrialisation, economic shocks, and social upheaval to become a global city of finance, culture, diversity, and innovation.

The modern City of London is the product of centuries of adaptation, but especially the transformations of the last 120 years.
