34092 was constructed at Brighton Works in 1949 and later that year 34092 was named WELLS which was later changed to City of Wells in 1950.

West Country Class locomotive 34092 was initially allocated to Stewarts Lane where it worked out of Victoria to the Kent coast.

After the electrification of the Kent lines 34092 was moved to Salisbury in May 1961 from where it ran on the main line between Exeter and Waterloo.

The boiler tubes of 4-6-2 pacific 34092 built at Brighton in 1949 and being restored on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway. West Country Class 34092 CITY OF WELLS, still in un-rebuilt condition into the 21st century! Photographed in 2011 during rebuilding and restoring to fully working condition. 34092 WELLS worked out of Stewarts Lane (London) and Salisbury depots working express passenger trains on the Southern Region of British Railway including working the famous boat train from London to Dover called the 'GOLDEN ARROW'..

NOW in full working order on the KWVR!
