Alcohol reaction mechanisms

The following notes have basic reaction conditions, reagents and general equations as well as detailed notes on the mechanisms indicated (overlap because they were written before above sections 4.2 to 4.8 were compiled)

Conversion of an alcohol to a halogenoalkane mechanism

Elimination of water from an alcohol to give an alkene [acid catalysed, E1 and E2 mechanisms]

Esterification of acid chlorides with alcohols to give an ester mechanism
