12. A walk from Boltby Village to the escarpment of the Hambleton Hills, via Paradise Valley and High Barn Sutton Bank and NW Moors Index Boltby Village is a quiet village of attractive stone houses, cottages and a few larger houses and modern bungalows in North Yorkshire, Northern England. There is no cafe or pub in the village but there are good short circular walks up on to the escarpment and ancient drove road of the Hambleton Hills to find a good picnic spot and return to the parked car in the village. Call in at the small but dignified Church of Holy Trinity for a quiet moment of reflection, especially note the lack of traffic.
