There is a long walk along the promenade at Morecambe overlooking the Morecambe Bay.

The STONE JETTY jutting out from Morecambe Promenade.

The original Midland Railway Promenade Station in Morecambe, opened in 1907, closed in 1994 after a new station was built nearer the town centre.

It now houses the Tourist Information Centre for Morecambe.

Beyond the public art installations of seabird sculptures on the Stone Jetty is the former grade II listed station and lighthouse buildings of 1853.

The Stone Jetty  was built by the North Western Railway in 1853 as a wharf and rail terminal for both passenger and cargo transport. The former station with adjoining lighthouse stand on the jetty and are Grade II-listed buildings. The jetty was resurfaced and partly rebuilt in the 1990s as part of the west coastal defences improvements.
