24. The village of Kilmacow is near Waterford, but across the River Suir in County Kilkenny!

The bridge over the River Blackwater at lower Kilmacow, no doubt the site of a medieval bridge and there is an old church site and ancient graveyard above the bridge just in the village of lower Kilmacow.

There are lots of beautiful trees dotted around the fertile land and the lanes are most pleasant to walk around.

An old Scots Pine overhangs the road down to the house and old mill, Greenville, Kilmacow of which we have fond memories.

Skeard farm, near Milltown, Kilmacow, like many such rural properties, sadly abandoned and no more rashers and boiled spuds to be had anymore!

The Mill House Restaurant, Kilmacow

The Mill House, once the home of Kathleen Laffan, sadly, no longer with us, but a great local historian

 

 

An old cast iron aqueduct, still working, that once supplied power to one of the many mills that once functioned in the Kilmacow area.

 

	Kilmacow, County Kilkenny, Ireland:  An excellent meal is to be had at the Mill House Restaurant, Kilmacow, Co. Kilkenny (near Waterford), Ireland. The building is situated in glorious estate lands with a marvellous variety of trees and shrubs, as are many other houses in the area.
	The Fox's Den seems to be the last pub left in Kilmacow, County Kilkenny.  St Senan's Church and is just up from the pub!
