Roundstone Harbour, nestled in the picturesque fishing village of Roundstone in County Galway, is a charming and historically rich location. Established in the 1820s by Scottish engineer Alexander Nimmo, the harbour has long been a hub for fishing and maritime activity.

The harbour is home to a diverse fleet of boats, ranging from traditional currachs to modern trawlers, creating a lively and colorful scene. It sits almost at the heart of the town, offering stunning views of the distant Connemara mountain ranges, which provide a breathtaking backdrop.

Roundstone itself is known for its natural beauty, rich history, and artistic community, attracting visitors who appreciate its tranquil atmosphere and scenic surroundings. The name "Roundstone" comes from the Irish "Cloch na Rón", meaning "Rock of the Seals", a nod to the area's wildlife and coastal charm.
