These pictures illustrate WALK 13 BELL BUSK in Paul Hannon's Walking Country Book MALHAMDALE in the Yorkshire Dales. Its a very pleasant ~5 mile (~8 km walk), photos taken on a dull day and a sunny day!
The central triangular green of Airton Village at the start of the walk with its grey stone houses.
Heading south from Town End down the track called Kirk Side Lane (easily spotted on the OS Map Explorer OL2.

The same ancient cultivation terraces - much clearer when viewed from the Bell Busk to Airton minor road.

Architectural contrast - the barn by Otterburn Beck and the fine building of Raven Flatt in Bell Busk.
Raven Flatts at Bell Busk, the fine 17th century house with its attractive mullioned windows.
The road up to the highly recommended Tudor House Bed & Breakfast. The Tudor House B&B occupies the old Bell Busk station that once served Airton and Malham. The track you are walking down on was probably part of the route the carts or carriages took.
Looking north, crossing the River Aire southeast of Bell Busk. The bridge is marked 1837, but one small arch looks a lot older.
Looking from Bell Busk across the fields to Haw Crag hill.
Another Northern Rail train passing over the low Bell Busk Viaduct south of the path, and Bell Busk once had a station on the Leeds - Carlisle line. The highly recommended Tudor House in Bell Busk is guest house in the converted railway station building and offers comfortable rooms, full English breakfast, a large garden near the railway line. Car parking available and pets allowed.

The view north towards Airton from the green track
You work your way westwards to eventually meet up with the Pennine Way to head north. En route, on your left you pass the disused quarry at Haw Crag, with an old trig point on top. Soon after Haw Crag you meet the Pennine Way which you follow north all the way to Airton.
The great views from the old trig point on Haw Crag hill
Near Haw Crag the rain decided to arrive - very dramatic scenery!
The view northeast just before you turn northwest on the Pennine Way to head down to Eshton Moor

Crossing the River Aire northwest of Ark Hill, the Pennine Way then follows the River Aire most of the way back to Airton.
