Equations for the preparation of the soluble salt sodium chloride

word equation:

hydrochloric acid + sodium hydroxide ==> sodium chloride + water

Comments:

A very expensive method, much easier to mine salt or extract it from evaporated seawater!

Sodium chloride ('common salt') is used for the extraction of sodium and chlorine by electrolysis and an important taste enhancer in the food industry ('table salt').
