Doc Brown's GCSE grade 9-1 Chemistry Revision QUIZZES

MULTIPLE CHOICE Questions for GCSE (9-1) SCIENCE-CHEMISTRY

Designed for the new GCSE (9-1) courses, first exams May-June 2018

The quizzes are compilations of my question databases to match as closely as possible an individual topic for any of the four current GCSE science-chemistry courses from AQA, Edexcel and OCR examination boards.

PLEASE READ THESE TEN POINTS CAREFULLY

  1. You need to be sure which exam board you are doing: AQA, Edexcel, OCR Sciences A (Gateway) or OCR Sciences B (Twenty First Century). You also need to know whether you are a higher tier (HT) or foundation tier (FT) student for you final GCSE exam entry.

  2. You may need pen & paper, a calculator and of course. a periodic table!

  3. On clicking on each quiz produces 20 multiple choice questions at random from a large database, though there a few short answer questions (just type into the [white box]).

  4. Select from A-D choices by clicking on the [?] by the letter or entering a short answer in the white [BOX].

  5. If you think there is an error, email me the URL/name of the quiz and quote the database reference in [ ] i.e [xy-05]. The quiz question number is a random number, see point 3!

  6. Where appropriate, especially if your first choice is wrong, read the feedback! especially as some questions are very easy but others are very hard! Ignore any docb link in the feedback - result of some old code that is gradually being removed from the question databases.

  7. For scoring, focus on x/20, the % scoring is weird, not my software! You only get the final score of x/20 after completing the quiz. You will find over the two years of your course that your scores will get better and remember you are tested on everything, only at the end of your two year course!

  8. These TOPIC QUIZZES, cannot be a comprehensive assessment, BUT offer 'snapshots' of what you should know and be able to do in a written examination paper for GCSE 9-1 CHEMISTRY of GCSE 9-1 separate chemistry or combined science-chemistry certifications.

  9. All these quiz links are added to the appropriate AQA, Edexcel and OCR (Gateway & 21st Century sciences) summary revision pages (link above)

  10. Copying of the quizzes is NOT permitted © Doc Brown's Chemistry, but all are free to use online 24/7!
