The medieval church of St Edmund in the Co. Durham town of Sedgefield.
The dominating Perpendicular west tower with its massive diagonal buttresses, two-light bell-openings, battlements an pinacles.
Unfortunately, this very fine County Durham church was closed, but I believe its well worth a visit to view and study the interior
When is it open to the 'tourist'?
