Christ Church, Appleton-le-Moors, a fine piece of architecture and well worth a visit.

The capitals of the piers and the font are intricately and most decoratively carved.

Some of the stained glass windows inserted in the pretty tracery.

Looking down the nave to the chancel and altar in the apse.

Details of chancel and altar.

The stained glass windows of the apse above the altar.

Much of the walls and pulpit are faced with sgraffito by Clayton & Bell who also did the stained glass.

Details of some of the 'classical' sgraffito.
